WTB Front Subframe & front left control arm bmw 128i
Looking to buy a front subframe also known as the cross member. Hit a curb on a rainy day recently and mine cracked at the welding point. Also looking for a front left control arm. Looking to do local pickup in the northeast (NY, NJ, CT) first but I'm open to shipping. While I'm posting this, how difficult of a job is it if anyone has experience with this? I have basic mechanic skills and have an entire month off as I'm a college student. It seems intimidating so I'll most likely bring it to my mechanic but any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Can't help you with the parts, but it should be a fairly straightforward job. You'll need to suspend the engine from above with a crossbar (Harbor Freight sells one). Depending on the age and mileage, it's a good time to refresh the whole front suspension, since you'll have it apart anyway.
Have you considered finding a pro welder to see if the subframe can be repaired? Might be easier than finding one locally on short notice.
