Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting some wheels for my BMW 135i, currently I have a BMW performance wheels on the car but they are a bit too thin and small for my liking.

I was looking at the Velocity Motoring Website and the V710 really caught my eye. I saw they have them in a 20" though there isn't too many options when it comes to offsets (25/35).

I was wondering has anyone managed to put on 20" on their 135i with a staggered setup and how much modification, if any did they have to do to their guards?

If 20 will not fit what sort of staggered offset setup are people using in 19", I was thinking ET40 all round, your thought would be much appreciated.

You will need custom forged wheels to make 20's work. No one makes cheap 20" wheels in our offsets since no one buys them.

ET40 all around in 19" will work. Higher the offset the better for the rear though if you want to fit big rubber.

I can't see 20's realistically fitting even at a +40. I believe there was one 135i in the past that I've seen running 20's, but if I remember correctly they had closer to +50 offset and lots of fender work.

I'd recommend sticking with 18's or 19's.

Hey guys,

I just got a email from a company I'm possibly going to get the wheels from. It seems the only off set they can provide is a +35ET.
Is this going to give me dramas with scrubbing?

You can get proper offsets with the Forgestar CF5 in 20" diameter. I toyed with the idea but decided its not worth the cost and risk of bending and cracking wheels.

Edit: you would need to go 20x10 in the rear with a 64ish offset. Should fit though, plenty of room inboard in the rear.

I haven't seen our 20x9 +35 V710 on a 1-series. It'll be tough fitting this size especially in the front. I can't see why it wouldn't fit with a fender roll and pull and stretched tire.

Not to go against your word, VMR, but people have been having problems fitting 18's with a +35 offset. I don't realistically see a 20" fitting. Like b1aze said; you'd probably be looking at a > +50 offset just to be able to fit them in the wheel well.
