Le-mon (say it like U2) interior ...US?
Any chance the US will ever see the lemon interior? I love the light colored seats but I hate light colored floors. The lemon interior has the black floor which makes it sharp as hell and a lot less dirty

I usually go with the now slightly boring black on beige, but when I discovered the lemon interior (thanks, it has to be said, to this forum) I ordered that. I don't understand why it isn't offered in the US.

This is the first pic I saw of the lemon in real life (it's in the colour thread in the photo section). I was hooked!

That is the same pic that hooked me. I know it is not as white as it appears here and it is indeed a lemon color, but I love the constast of Light and dark. I think in the US, the only thing that comes close is the Dakota but it is a bit too dark and a bit too brown for my tastes but I may have to go with it.
I love the look of the aluminum trim and black interior but I do not want to deal with the scratches and dents in the trim. Not sure if wood and black is the best option for me. |

Black on beige is a great combo, too, and I would probably have chosen that, had I not seen the above photo on this forum. Also, I have already had 3 black/beige cars and wanted a bit of a change.

Is there a BMW Individual option for the 3 in Europe?

Hi Paul330d, you just have to go over the belgian Border, the dealer tried from the beginning to sale me a lemon interior!
I was already on the way to choose this combo, but i wanted to see it in live. 2 Weeks later when i was going to sign, he managed to get a 320d, jet black, 18 inch wheels, lemon interior.... He was trying to get such one for his showroom since weeks..... as mentionned in other post, it is VERY sensible...the last WE, i gone to the showroom, just to see it once more time, and after 2 WE, it is already dirty (a little bit), OK i saw also 2 Guys seating in the car with black jeans. But when you sign your order with a lemon interior just 2 meter behind you, if you like ligth colored interior...then you simply can't resist. for the US market, i think the only workaround is BMW individual with for example a "champagne" (i think it is still available for the e90). Otherwise you are rigth the ligth colored are in North France not usual. Here in HH, Germany, i tried to find a lemon during 3 weeks in all dealers in the town (4)...Nothing!

I still haven't seen the lemon interior in person and ordered blind from the pix on this forum! I have visited 6 local dealers, including one in Belgium, and none had one to show me. Everyone takes silver with black interiors here (or, if they're feeling adventurous, black on beige), so that's what the dealers order for their showrooms.
I am expecting the worst with regard to cleaning the seats, but as you say, it looks so good I just couldn't resist. Maybe I could find some lemon-coloured jeans on the Internet somewhere

During the last winter sale off, i bougth myself a lot of ligth colored trousers ...........
Otherwise i can give you the address of a dealer in Bruxelles with a lemon interior....it is just 1,5 hours away from Douai...you know for the next WE, because i am sure that you will find that end of mars, it is still to far away....it is already the second time, that during a WE in bruxelles, i go to the dealer just to see it once more time! It is the same in Germany...mostly Arktis or silver with black interior

I believe Canadians can order the Lemon interior as well. Not my cup-o-tea but I did see it in the brochure.

Just a little off topic, but since someone mentioned it: I have a sapphire / terra 325i and get nothing but compliments on the interior. Generally folks will want to see the new car, comment on how nice it looks, and then as they get in and see the interior, say something like "Wow, this is really nice! Very cool colors! I've never seen this before!"
OK, back to your regularly sceduled (lemon) topic... |

Otherwise terra is great, a good compromise "easy to care"-"NOT A BLACK INTERIOR". But my wife said to terra "NNOO".
and when she says something May be she will regreat it, when i will repeat over and over."take care of the seats"
