Lub Bolt question for Forgestar Wheels

Hey guys,

We have 18 inch Forgestar wheels coming in and I need to source new lug bolts because the factory bolts will be to wide in diameter. Does anyone have any idea where I can source black bolts that will fit the Forgestar wheel and our 135 Coupe?

You mean you have to use a tuner lug? You can't use a 17mm hex lug bolt?

You'll want to find out specifically from them what you need as you don't want to make any mistakes with mounting hardware

Well, I bought them from Element Motorsports and they can't tell me what lug bolt I need! They say that stock bolt won't fit and that I'm on my own. *&#@$#(

Are these F14s in a 1 fitment? Stock bolts will work fine.

Okay, great. And do these wheels require
centering rings? And if so, does that work
out ok?

no. i literally just took off my stock wheels, swapped the tires onto the forgestars, and then mounted them back on using all the stock bolts and nothing more...

Forgestars made for the 1-series are hubcentric....no need for centering rings.

No kidding. Wow. These guys at Element Wheels are really lacking correct information. Well, they sent me the rings. So, I guess I will try installing them without the centering rings and see what happens.

did you buy forgestars specfic for the 1? as in you waited a few months for them or did you grab something off their showroom floor?
What offsets and size?

Whoa, not so fast. My previous gunmetal 19" Forgestars sold here in June 09 most definitely needed AND came with hubcentric rings. It is possible that Forgestar has changed their product since then but I would make damn sure before mounting and driving on these.

Okay, the wheels are now mounted. The BMW OEM lug bolts fit fine, but we did install centering rings. Thanks to everyone for your input!

By the way, these wheels are incredibly light. Less than 20 lbs per wheel. I couldn't believe it when I picked up one of the boxed wheels. Literally felt like nothing. Feather weight, and strong.
