Anyone know where I can get a JB4?
My car is almost 10 years old now and I've been out of the scene for a long time. Apparently you can't order the JB4 to California anymore so I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can get my hands on whatever is the latest version.
OR, is there a newer/better alternative people have moved on to? Seems like JB4 is still pretty popular.

From what I see JB4 is pretty popular here, as well as the latest tuner flash being MHD which is a android app, that you can do over your phone with the proper set up. Many posts on it if you search it wether its on the 3 series forums, offer up, or craigslist as I've seen the there,
If you want to get your hands on a JB4 is simply buy a used one from someone on here, or order it to one of your out of state friends/family's address and have them ship it to you. Just got into the game with the 135i being my first car, so I've been reading all through out 1addicts teaching myself about the car. |

Cobb reflashes, JB4 piggybacks, IIRC.
When I frequented these forums, I think the consensus was that JB4 makes more power, while Cobb is easier to install and change maps or uninstall.

Yeah, and you're in LA. Maybe we can get all the old-timers to show up at one of the 626 Bi-Weekly meetups.
FWIW, I've been running Cobb for about 6 years now. It makes noticeable power - but I'll say if you're not using the power, either don't run Cobb, or run it with its stock map. Reason: I've had misfires running Cobb, and although I know its not the consensus of these forums to listen to these guys, the head technician at my local dealership informed me it was because of the Cobb tune. Though I can't and haven't searched for posts, I could've sworn I've also seen posts about Cobb causing cylinder problems. Since I'm not made of money, if I'm not tracking the car, I leave Cobb installed but I run the stock map.

For now I'm considering jb4, vrsf catless dp, vrsf 5" stepped intercooler with lower charge pipe, vrsf charge pipe with tial bov, OEM euroLCI black lines, BMW perf diffuser/spoiler
I'm unsure on exhaust, I was planning vrsf catless dp to n55 mid to the BMW performance but Im really not sure yet |
