I hit 140 On a high altitude freeway. The CA 2 North Freeway from Mountain ave. exit to 210. . My car seem like it was gonna die on me =P... I wonder if it'll be any faster going towards LA.

I also tried it with my TSX... My tsx looked it it had more power! =S

It seems like its so damn easy to hit triple digit speed with E90. It gets up there so fast. My highest is 80mph(break-in period here ), but it gets there so damn fast. Most of the times, when I hold on to the gas pedal a little longer than usual, I am already over-speeding. At this rate, speeding ticket is going to be an issue once my break-in period is over. BMW_lawman is going to be all over my ass. j/k.

S2000 are freaking fast... It beat my friends Acura CL 3.2S with Headers, intake and coil overs. The s2000 left him behind =S!

Well... I don't really find my car that fast because its a 325i and I also drive a FX35 =S which has like 70 more HP than the E90 =S

I drove 260 kph ~ 160 mph with the 330d and 330i. Although the 330i reaches the top speed much easier and you can feel that the car reduces the power. It could drive faster than that. The 330d needs a bit more time to reach the top speed and don't think it could drive much faster. The topspeed of the 325i I drove was around 250 kph ~ 155 mph. But that car needs a free road a lot more time for that top speed. My topspeed with the 320d was 240 kph ~ 149 mph. Of course I drove these topspeed on a free German Autobahn around Munich with Euro spec cars. The 330xi is a bit slower than the 330i regarding acceleration, nevertheless it runs 160 mph as well :rocks:

Germany to France

I hit the limiter at 134 mph on the A5 autobahn going from Heidelberg, Germany to Beaune France last weekend. There was a lot of gas peddal left. It's 140 miles in Germany, (1.67 hours) and 150 miles in France 2.0 hours. The French actually have speed limits. No wonder they're rioting. Trip total 590 miles, average gas mileage 26.9, calculated by stubby pencil. Computer said 25.4. Everything worked perfectly. Overall, Great drive, great food, great wine, great weekend.

I went up to 105 tonight at NY 290W (Buffalo)...

I dont think I'll go any faster than that.

But I have to say that the ride is so smooth when it hits 100 and you can't even feel you're going THAT fast

I love my bmw

Last week the speedo on my 325i (2.5 liter Step) indicated 240 kmh (150 mph) as I cruised with an E39 525i. And in case someone asks, I nailed him from a roll. E90 was very stable, but still not as confidence-inspiring as the 256kmh run in the Evo- could've got faster had there been more road.

Relax.

Looks like Speedy was on his European Delivery somewhere in Germany when the picture was taken. Note the mileage on odo.

BTW: In the area around Munich you will get pushed from left lane if you are creeping around with 120 mph.
