N54 intake manifold or stage 3 intake manifold

Hey guys just wondering in the coming months I'm going to tune my car and get a new manifold but not sure which manifold I should go with their is the option with the n54 manifold and the stage 3 does anyone know which one you would make more horsepower gains from I seen a 128i on YouTube pushing 250whp with the n54 manifold tuned by BPC

You can make about the same peak power on a 3 stage, it just depends on your goals.

N54 manifold is lots of peak power, while the 3 stage is power everywhere.

3stage if you have an automatic, you'll love the extra torque for daily driving.
N54 if you have a manual and love power at higher RPM's

Is it true that the N54 will have lower low-end torque as well?

Also which models came with a stage 3 intake?

Nope, not really. You'll have to mock something up.

Yes, the N54 Manifold will make less torque than a 3 stage car, but it may make more torque than a single stage car otherwise would. Also, I would be doing the MILVs with either one for a nice increase in torque.

Then there is the intake piping - you'll need to have something fabbed up. Using silicone hose looks like it might not be the way to go, from the last dyno they showed, the hose looked like it was collapsing and causing some strange resonance related dip in the power curve.
