Sport Mode & Paddle Shifter problem after battery disconnect
Hi guys,
I have an 08 n54 AT. I recently disconnected my battery to work on removing my steering wheel trim. I replaced all the connections and reconnected the battery. The windows didn't work properly, but i managed to re-program it and it works fine now. I just discovered, however, that my paddle shifters are no longer working. Using the steptronic shift selector, knocking it into sports mode doesn't do anything either. The sports mode isn't working. It goes into M (steptronic) mode however, if i tap it forwards / backwards. Putting it back into D still leaves it in M mode, unless i go to N and then shift back to D. Did i short circuit something when i reconnected the battery, or is there some reprogramming that i need to do, similar to the power windows ? Note that i am running the alpine b3 transmission mod. Thanks for the help. |

Well you were working in the area of paddle shift connections.. Did you double check the connectors to make sure they're fully seated? There isn't any sort of initialization/adaptation for that after disconnecting battery.
