Question Dealership PPK Question

Going to try and set up an appointment to get PPK1 installed some time next month. Few questions.

1. Should i take my LUX H8 v4 bulbs out before going in and put stock bulbs back in my headlights?
2. Is there a real benefit of PPK2 or PPK1? I don't track or race so I'm not sure if the extra oil cooler and fan is needed for me...
3. Should I suck it up and have them install the PE exhaust or can i manage doing that myself and save a little $? I have a nice shop with a car lift so getting under the car is no problem for me.

Thanks

1. No
2. PPK 1, little help. PPK 2, to expensive for what you get.
3. Install your self.

The PPK takes away the lag that the BMW DME update added. Plus, it adds a nice burble to the exhaust note. If you aren't going to track it, stay with the PPK1 (2 just adds the extra cooling).

Went to get my PPK1 installed today. Got a ring this afternoon saying that they were having trouble installing the software on my car and going to have to contact BMW Germany. I have the top speed limiter disable and the oil cooler on my car. (M package) so i know the PPK1 is compatible with my car.

Any reason why you think they are having trouble?

Check your module list - do you have S840 module or S840a? My dealership stated that because I have S840a optimizer and not the S840, I cannot have the PPK units installed -- this is on a 2011 MSprt vert. DCT. You might have a similar sitch... keep us posted!
