Plates?
I asked my CA not drill on the front bumber to mount the plates. I think it spoils the look. In NJ, its the law to have front plates, but my CA told me its only illegal if you get caught . But I am gonna risk it, lets see.
Any NJ/NY E90 drivers here thats taking the same risk?

Even though I live in NJ, I am in philly 5 days a week, so I am going to risk it. I ABLSOLUTELY HATE THE LOOK with the front plates. Other states dont require front plates. So why the hell is NJ/NY still holding on to this stupid law!?!

i live in columbus, OH and i dont have front plates for my car either...got a ticket so far, costs $40...my car was at a parking meter, and there was still 10min left..my friend said the meter maid fined me, not the cops...anyway if u wanna be safe, park with the rear of your car facing the street..if not just put the front plate on top of your dash..make sure its visible too, peace

On my previous car I had no front plate mounted, but came up with a pretty simple solution. Head on down to Home Depot, you know a nice little Saturday, and pick up a set of suction cups. Bring your license plate with you and find a set that will allow you to fit the nub of the suction cup snuggly through the hole in your license plate. Now, suction your plate to the passenger front side of your windshield and tada, you're done. You'd be surprised, it doesn't even make a rattle.

I always keep my front plate in the car. If they will me trouble, i just tell them that my plate came off and in the process of putting it back. However, they still get you a ticket when you park on the street. uD |

I would use it, but our "metro" traffic cops probably won't even understand. |

Any front plate mounting would ruin the look of this car. If the front bumper were to include a recessed area specifically for our plates, that might be a different issue. BMW, get your s*** together.
