I personally find wheelbolts to be way riskier than lugs. |

Probably because a stud's easier to replace than a hub, if something gets stripped. And faster to swap out a wheel during an actual race.
I'd disagree. Fewer parts, fewer threads, almost no chance of what triggered the whole discussion. I don't typically find either to be risky, but if that label gets applied to one, it's definitely the studs, more so if they're a kit put on DIY. This happened recently and insurance is still figuring things out so I'll keep it very brief. A car merged into me at low speed. No injuries and we both stopped immediately. Could have been a lot worse and it sucks because I've put a lot of time and effort into the car but in the end it's a material object. So not too worried in the grand scheme of things. First time I've had to go through this. Initial repair estimate is a little under $4k. We'll see how it all unfolds...

…. I absolutely did make it with all my panels… Not completely intact but still hanging on for dear life. Turns out I raised it enough for regular street driving but it was no match for route 80. Some drilling and some hammering and I now have a quick release bumper for the time being. I REALLY wish evolution racewerks didn’t discontinue their front. I’m not a fan of 1m fronts so I’m still shopping for a wider front end that doesn’t suck. Til then I’m rockin the fukboi buttons.

The buttons are a perfect match with the turbo screen.

Went to a new (to me) cars and coffee today and this M2 parked next to me. Chatted with the owner a little but he and his buddy were in a hurry to go into the coffee shop and left as soon as they came out without much visiting.
The owner of this DeLorean also didn't spend much time socializing.

So today I finally got round to putting some M Sport Competition seatbelts into my E88, and found some Awesome M Sport Style Bkack Aluminium pedals from Europe 👌. Also had my local interior dude change the stitching on my steering wheel.

IMO, if you are going to buy studs, buy them from someplace reputable. I'm comfortable with the APEX studs I'm using, but I do check them with a torque wrench occasionally just as a matter of course. And even then, they're a consumable item (e.g., I'll be replacing them in about 12-18 months from first install).
