tire side wall...
with H&R lower kit 2.2F and 1.6R, what's the perfect side wall for D-force 17" 8.5 rims front and rear without rub?
im thinking for front 235/40, rear 255/40, will it rub? |

I'd probably just stick with a square wheel and tire fitment, and if you're not looking to encounter any rubbing issues or possibly roll your fenders, 225/45/17 should work.

Yes, you can easily fit a 225 on an 8.5.

245/40 all around. Might be a bit tight up front depending on the tire (Starspecs, and other oversized tires may rub a bit at stock camber, more "normal" width 245s may be AOK). But the cost of adding some camber or rolling fenders (if necessary) is easily covered by the benefit of being able to rotate tires.

Have a look at the D-force wheels with Michelin PSS 245/40/17 in this thread:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...php?p=12234719 It will depend on the drop and how much camber you want to run. If you choose other tires it may be closer to the fender, because the 245/40/17 size Michelin PSS isn't a very wide tire. For the Michelin PSS there isn't a big difference between 225/45/17 and 245/40/17. You still need camber plates if you want any 245/40/17 on the front.
