The law in Cali is the deposit is fully refundable.

My Mini dealer wanted a $500 "ordering fee" that was NOT REFUNDABLE. It leaves a bad taste when they play with words like that.

Question los angeles area dealers?

New to the site and would like to place an order. I would like to know if anyone has any Los Angeles area dealers currently taking orders? I called BMW Beverly Hills yesterday and the "sales manager" had no information and sounded prickish as always. I would prefer to avoid them. I'm willing to go elsewhere in the area and as far out at Palm Springs/San Diego/Thousand Oaks. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys. And btw: I'll most likely be ordering the Sapphire Metallic Black with Black or red interior. D

Good choice on your color scheme. But as far as getting answer, make a new thread with the your post title. You'll probably get more hits that way.

That's reprehensible and probably illegal. That's a fight you would have won if it came down to it.

As it is they won't take my money yet if I asked them to, is it a California "thing" (legal I mean, not weird)?
Sonnen BMW in San Rafael took my deposit like over two months ago. I am first on the list there. Ca dealers are taking deposits and they are fully refundable.

Well, I talked to my near dealership, and I was placed on an interested list, Its probably different, since I didn't put the deposit. But they will let me know when they get both the 128i and 135i in to test. And since we've bought from them before and know the owner, it shouldn't be a prob. testing it out first. That, and I hope I get a deal like my mother did on her mini, she got it invoice, hopefully we can get that, or at least not add dealership markup.

He took me to a back road. it was a straight away, and i took the e92 (auto tho ><) to 130, broke hella hard (he instructed me to do so) and whipped the tail at a dead end. i'd have to attribute it to him for getting me hooked on the powers of a n54 motor.

pleasanton (East Bay BMW, Hendricks?) Great service out there. I'm on the list as well. supposedly #1 or 2 :drinking: keep us posted with any news you get and I will do the same.
