Looking to get new wheels to switch back and forth from my stock wheels. Anyway, will the wheels fit considering the information below?

Front: 18x8 et 47 on 225/40 tires (could I go wider?)
Rear: 18x8.5 et 50 on 245/35 OR 255/35 tires

OR

Square: 18x8 et 47 on same tire setup as above. If I can pull off 245/35 square, that would be best.

This is all assuming that I'm on stock suspension, M3 control arms and a Dinan camber plate. I don't want to run spacers or roll my fenders

Thanks

Two setups for my '12 135i

I bought my car used in '16 with about 52,000 km on it. (32,000 mi.)
Dealer had "refurbished" it with all new brakes (rotors and pads) and all new RFT tires. I don't know when it got the black wheels but they looked pretty new also. Sizes are stock 135i for all. According to VIN lookup this car has M Sport suspension and it seems to sit fairly low. The ride is quite firm on the crappy roads here in Ontario. I recently bought an alternate set of rims and tires off kijiji for a bargain price. They are in excellent shape after I spent a couple hours cleaning them. Car is stone Stock as built.

SETUP 1 as purchased from dealer:
Maybe style 397 black 18" wheels
Fr: 7 1/2" x 18 ET 49
Rr: 8 1/2" x 18 ET52
Tires
Bridgestone Potenza RE 050A RFT
Fr: 215 x 40 x 18
Rr: 245 x 35 x 18

SETUP 2 purchased last week (used but very nice)
Wheels Style 286 from an E90 (pre '13 3 series)
Fr: 7 1/2" x 17 ET 34
Rr: 8 1/2" x 17 ET 39
Tires
Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ with lots of tread made in 2015
Fr: 225 x 45 x 17
Rr: 255 x 40 x 17

No spacers or other mods
These setup 2 tires have almost exactly same diameter as setup 1 at 636 or 637 mm (25.1")
Initial testing, just cruising around the 'hood indicates no rubbing or interference. Main concern is whether outside edge of tire will rub on fender.
Inside edges of tires are well clear of struts and clear the Brembo brake calipers no problem. I am somewhat surprised and will update if any problems encountered.

Sorry about that!

I don't know why pics posted upside down!
Stand on your head to view them I guess.
Car currently has 64 K km on it, 39,700 mi.

I'm not sure I've posted in this thread, but I'm still working on making my Apex Wheels fit.

I'm running their recommended staggered setup and tire size. 18 x 8.5 +45 and 18 x 9.5 +58.

I'm running NittoNT05 235s in the front and 265s in the back. I am also running a 10mm spacer in the rear, which I know is a rubbing issue.

I rub the plastic connection between the front bumper and fender right now over bumps and I rub the fender liner in the back over bumps.

I don't know how to upload pictures here but here's an album of my car.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/9zrkcDfPTsyK3anP7

These are 18 inch Alpina Softline wheels.

They are 18x8 et47 square. I went with 225/40/18 up front and 245/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S in the rear.

All of this is with the stock suspension. No rubbing or issues whatsoever...except for the TPMS error.

Love the Softlines man. I'm local in LA if you ever want to part with them. They'd look great on my e36

IF I ever want to part, I'll keep you in mind. That said, I've seen pics of e36 with Alpina wheels and they look great.

Thanks lol

Will a style 103 (BMW Z4 running 225/45R17 tire) wheel fit a '08 128i with sport package? Trying to find some spare wheels.

What would be best tire size if I was to switch to the style 103 wheels? Current tires (on style 262) are 205/50-17 and 225/45-17. I don't mind it not being staggered.

Totally up to you. If it's a daily driver I'd suggest 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 all around so you can rotate when needed and get the most life out of your tires. If you are going to autox or just want more grip you can stuff 245/40/17 summer tires on there with a nice stiff sidewall.

Question, anyone tried a 235/45 17 up front on 17x7.5 or 17x8 rim? Want as wide as i can go up front for autocross with having to roll fender or rubbing?

Thanks

With a square set up on 17 wheels with 225/45-17 tires, what tire pressure should I be running?

I have vmr 703's
8.5" front 35 offset
9.5" rear 45 offset
Stock suspension, and I wanted to run
235/40 18 front and
265/35 18 rear anyone know if this will work? I've been through alot of pages in this thread and haven't found my answer yet. I will keep looking. Thanks for any help. I'd rather get different size tires than roll fenders

You want 225/255 for that setup and it'll still be aggressive fitment. I run those same specs but on 19s and get occasional rubbing in extreme circumstances (ex. Pulling in and out of driveways, BIG bumps in the road that fully compress the suspension) on 225/255s. Also a fender roll and possible trimming in the rear will be needed.

Love this!

Pretty sure I’m doing the same but have questions regarding tire size.

So the wheels are 18x8.5 +35, I’m thinking on running 235/40R18 front and 255/35/R18 rear.

I’d like 245s in the front but I feel like that’s a going to be 3 degrees plus of camber?? Would like to keep it under 2. Currently on kw v2 but I don’t think there will be any inner clearance issues.

Lastly anyone know if I could run a square 255/35 if I bought the n5tunner front fenders, says it gives 15mm of extra clearance. But I don’t believe you get that much if you are full lock??

Will be autocrossing the car!

Any input or confirmation is much appreciated! Thanks!

Making a 255 fit on that spec in the rear will be really aggressive and need some camber and fender mods. 235 square is totally possible with a minimum of -2.5° of camber up front. The N5Tuner fenders don't change where you will rub, which is the bumper to fender mount bolt. Thus, I see them as a waste. I run 19x8.5 ET35 with a 225/35 up front and -2.5° of camber and get slight rubbing on the bumper mount bolt. You could maybe get a 235 in there, but a higher offset like ET37-40 would be preferred in which you'd be able to fit that 235 or 245 you desire.
