In the month since I've had my 1M:
-Tinted all windows
-Took it for service to get a few recalls taken care of. While it was there changed the brake fluid as it was almost due, and also got it aligned.
-Had driver side interior door Alcantara panel repaired as the Alcantara had gotten unglued from the door.
-Replaced the surround trim for the iDrive knob as mine had some scratches.
-Got spare Bosch wiper blades... At Costco!
-Ordered OEM wheel bolts (mine has aftermarket studs and nuts)
-Ordered new OEM air cabin filter
-Started paint correction on it: iron decon and clay are done. Halfway through compounding.

Oh and I also have driven it a bit.

Long story short, some issues with the other wheel company led me to having my friends over at ESR do me up a custom set of vsxx reps. I've grown to kind of hate the black wheels I've got on and wanted something to "pop" a bit more with the widebody.

Those will look great with red (it's gonna be red, isn't it?) or whatever color you do next...

I kinda want to see them with the green for shock factor

Put a deposit on it to officially make it mine! After 4 E9X cars with N52, N54, and S65 engines, the N55 in BMW's last analog chassis was something I wanted to try.

2012 135i DCT/M-Sport/Tech Pkg. 2nd owner, 55k mi. Bone stock.

Nice buy! I love the 5 double-spoke style of wheel on the 1'er, like what's on your new-to-you car and the ever-wonderful Style 313 wheel.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to rehab (not)!

Hahaha, I've only owned one non-6MT in the last 14 years - a W211 E55 AMG and it lasted 2 months. I'm as diehard a 3 pedal guy as they come.

I was still hunting for a 6MT but this car was an absolute steal and I couldn't say no. Seeing as 100% of my driving is on city roads or crawling on the highway, I figured maybe I'd give my left leg a breather. The M3 is the dedicated chariot to handle the smiles per gallon duties.

The wheels ain't bad that's for sure! I can never do 313 or 269 again. They just crack way too easily Thinking of some Hartge Classics though...

And thanks! I'm going to do my best to leave this one stock having owned a fully FBO-and-everything-short-of-bigger-turbos 335i in the past. This needs to be a nice lil daily and that's it. Famous last words... I know.

A clean, stock 135i is hard to come by these days. They're so easy to modify that everyone just does.

They crack that easily? I've beat the hell out of my cheap Sport Edition wheels from Tire Rack without issue. Track days, potholes...everything bad for a wheel, pretty much.

As an owner of a 128i, I can't see any reason why you'd need more power than stock from a 135i. 300 just seems like the right number. Is more power cooler? Yeah. But it just doesn't seem necessary.

Anywho...congrats again on the purchase, it looks fantastic! I'm sure we'll be hearing about what exhaust and wheels you put on it shortly

Looks (sort of) familiar!

Nice snag! Ours was bone stock when we received it. All I have done is an intercooler upgrade and MHD Stage 1+ performance wise - my wife has promised divorce if it gets any faster .

I had a paint correction done and ceramic sealant applied to keep it looking lovely as well, oh and window tint.

Anywho...I washed it today. In a parking lot. Aero Cosmetics Wash and Wax All is my hero. Somebody scratched it, though, which is sad.

Also, 196k miles!

I think another driveshaft bolt (or a few) are coming loose because there's a clunk that sounds all too familiar Glad I brought tools with me to school!
Wow, now that's some high praise

Also, equally astonishing, 196k miles holy smokes! Come visit your home base and 1er friends and knock out that last bit!

I changed the spark plugs last night with the car at 53k miles. 128i is running sharper and the slightly rough idle I was experiencing is gone.
Vanos cleaning is up next, hopefully before the car goes into hibernation.

Brought her home and it's officially mine! First order of business: flashed the 135iS DCT software and PPK. The pops and burbles are neat! And changed some software settings via NCS.

This thing boogies!

Ordered y-pipe from the 135i Performance Exhaust, and a used Corsa Performance axle-back. Finally going to make my car sound like...something I'm done with whooshing places.

Also ordered an N54 intake manifold and throttle body; putting parts together for some power-adding this winter:
-MILVS
-BimmerMILVS N52 Exhaust Cam (+1mm lift, AFAIK) once on-sale
-N54 Intake and Throttle
-Tune of sorts...possibly with 8,000 rpm redline

It's gonna scoot...for a 128i.

Especially when I'm rid of these stupid 3.23 gears. Oh how I wish I used a torque wrench...damn it. (RIP Diff v2)

Haven't posted on here in a WHILE. Hope everyone is doing well!

Car has been absolutely solid since the Pure Stage 1 and dyno tune, still pulls like it means business and never misses a beat, couldn't be happier with the experience at Tuning Tech getting that all wrapped up.

I also finally made the move and got new wheels on the car with the proper fitment, and wrapped them in some MPSS's I got at an absolutely killer price.

VMR 710's, 18x8.5 et45 with 225/40 and 3mm spacer up front, and 18x9.5 et50 with 255/35 out back. Very happy with the look and feel so far!

I also had an alignment done to reign in the rear camber and fix some other issues while in there. I had negative THREE degrees of camber out back to make the last set of wheels fit. Now down to around -1.9* which, amazingly, is in spec for BMW's recommended settings. I'd like to be closer to -.5 but I don't think this can happen until I roll the rear fenders, a project for another day since I'll need to heat the metal and re-wrap when I do this.

I got some funny looks from the guys at my local tire shop when I rolled up with the car full of wheels and the roof covered in tires LOL.
