AWRON + JB4 = Fvck me ?

Hey guys,

I've been reading a lot, and it seems I'm fvcked !

When plugged in, my AWRON gauge stops my JB4 and makes the car ride N/A.

It feels no power, and says around 190hp...

Any idea on how to deal ? Seems it is a CAN conflict...

That really sucks, I would go to n54tech.com under the n54 section and ask as there's a much better chance of someone having tried to use both in that community than here

Same issue with JB4 and a P3 vent gauge. They fight over the canbus so neither works properly.

No, but I believe that they both pull data off the OBDII port.

They are not the same but i assume the same fix would work on both.
That being said i doubt P3 will give you their fix so you can use it on Awron.
There is no link just email P3 customer support.

Question

What is this "P3 fix"? I want to use solo storm with JB4 but I'm pretty sure they would not be compatible due to the same reason..

Ugh. My car came with the AWRON gauge installed. I've been planning on doing JB4 and a DP.

The threads I've seen that say the JB4 and AWRON gauge are not compatible are from 2015. Is there any update to this? Am I still screwed?

Dammit. I really want JB4 and a DP.

ditch the JB4 and do MHD full flash or even a custom map through MHD. It should work with AWRON and MHD > JB4 anyways lol

Alright. Thanks. I'll give mhd a try. Can anyone confirm that it'll work with the awron gauge?

I cant say for certain cause Ive never done it, but my understanding is the JB4 doesnt work because it is a piggyback tune and tricks the DME, therefor the AWRON which reads from the DME is tricked also and not compatible.

MHD is a full flash and doesn't trick the DME or isnt a piggyback, so I dont see why it wouldn't work.

Maybe someone with experience can chime in to confirm, but you should be fine with MHD!

AWRON, P3, and JB4 all tap into the CAN BUS system for info on parameters being measured. For reasons beyond my level of understanding, only one of the above aftermarket (and probably any others) can tap into the data flow at one time.

That makes sense. Does the MHD tune tap into the CAN BUS?
