I am looking for a set of 166M (M5) wheels in 19 for my 135i. Any plans on offering that wheel soon?

Right now we have finished the E90 production and you have seen the quality of our products. We`ll offer OEM Silver, Gunmetal and Matte Black only. The wheels will be 18x8.0 and 18x9.0 the offset will be determined once we start production and can run a few articles. They`ll be as flush to the fenders as possible (without going over them) and prevent rubbing. The weight cannot be determine without a proper CAD drawing but our 19" CSL are less than a pound more than the OEM CSL (which are flowformed) so our 18" CSL will be as light as the design itself allows.

We appreciate every feedback you provide so please keep posting. We`ll try to post more frequently. Lets try to get the 20 participants within the next 2 weeks so we can get this started. As an incentive we`ll include Gunmetal and Matte Black at no additional cost.
you will get people to commit when you commit to offsets, this is the biggest hold-up for most of us when it comes to aftermarket wheels for our 1'ers

I agree on wanting to hear offsets. That's the number one issue with most aftermarket wheels!

+1 for updates. If we only had 15 people I am sure they would have no problem selling the rest once members posted pics and offsets actually worked for our cars... I am in dire need of summer tires with some traction, lets get this moving...I have wheel $ burning a hole in my pocket!

From their point of view, compared to the 3-series market, our potential customer numbers are a drop in the bucket. I think this is why not a lot of companies are rushing to make specific 1-series wheels.

Well they are retarded, because if they made a wheel that would fit right, they would sell them like hot cakes.

The first company to come out with decent wheels will rake it in, but they are all going to sit on their hands and wait for someone else to be successful to prove there is a market. By that time the pent-up demand will be gone.

What gets me is people spend 5000.00 on custom wheels because they will fit, when they could have spent 1000.00 on wheels if some vendors would suck it up and make some dang wheels already.

I agree with that. A company has to bite the bullet and be the first ones. Once they sell all their wheels, other companies will see how much this community wants a correct fitting wheel, and we'll get a huge influx.

+1. If someone just builds them the orders will come rolling in! FYI I emailed Gill at tire rack and he sees no 1'er specific wheels planned until after summer!!!

yep. for me, the rear offset MUST be 55mm or higher, so i can use wide tires. if it's another ~48mm offset, i may as well just get the breytons. why not just make an offset on the conservative (high) side, and allow people to use a spacer if they want it more flush? at least that way the wheel can be used by people who want wider tires AND people who want a more flush look. if they make it with a flush look straight out of the box (lower offset), they'll lose the "wide tire" market (including myself!)

Do all of you that are insisting on very specific colors understand that unless a whole lot of people want that, then it is not profitable for the company to make? The demand for 135i wheels compared to other cars is just not that great. Then you throw in demands for every color under the sun, well no one is going to meet that.

If these come in at $1,000 that is a pretty good deal. If you have to spend a bit more to have these redone in your specific color, is it that bad?

I want a BBS y-spoke style wheel, with little lip, 18", widths that are close to stock, in the proper offset for the 135, in semigloss black and preferably under $1500. If I demand that each of these specifications is met before I'll buy I'll probably be waiting an awful long time. If color is the only thing I can't get, I can have that redone easily enough, but most of the other things can't be changed.

No one else is rushing to make these wheels for us. It's up to us if we want this to happen at all.

very true! we can't afford to be too picky, if I cannot get mine in matte black, I will powdercoat myself. I am getting to the point where I would be willing to put down the full ammount as a deposit, just to get a manufacturer to begin building us a reasonably priced wheel with proper offsets.

Also AluFelgen has been quite generous by offering the extra colors (matte black and gunmetal) at no additional cost. The people at e90post had to pay extra for the colors other than silver. Let get this started! We need wheels in the proper offset.
