Comfort Access stopped working
Hey guys, my comfort access has pretty much stopped working. Driver door and engine start don't work at all and the trunk and passenger door work about 50% of the time. I replaced the battery on the key fob and it hasn't helped. CA was working perfectly when I got the car. Any ideas?

My CA started working intermittently, and we found that a tiny pinhole in a weld behind the passenger tail light was letting in water over time, so the Comfort Access module down below the trunk liner on the passenger side was sitting in water and corroded. I bought a used one off of eBay for $60, after my mechanic sealed the hole with some kind of sealant (may eventually get it welded.). I'm talking tiny hole, as in only barely detectable with a flashlight.
I've also read that Comfort Access is one of the first things to go when your car battery gets low, so you might check your battery out first. |

Roughly 9 years old lol. Voltage is reading at 11.86 and has been steady since I got the car in 2017. Everything was working fine back then but along with CA going out, I have also been getting random weird occurrences sporadically such as the seat belt chime going off even though I was buckled and the passenger seat was empty. Battery sounds likely. Thanks guys, I'll start with that!
