The dealer has the Buy rate MF from BMW and can charge up 40 basis points above and beyound that to the deal and has the abilty to change this but most dealerships have a std of how much they will allow this to drop.. in your case the dealership may have seen your loyalty as a reason to give you some thing a little extra..
Perhaps, but the original point is that the MF is negotiable (or discountable, depending upon your perspective). Whether it is a program or not is mostly irrelevant as every dealer that I have been to has honored my loyalty.

I agree with you completly there. A good dealership that values a repeat customer will oftern do this. But then.. its still some thing that is not normaly "on the table" (so to speak)

And in regards to the post before.. yeah.. some times leases are shopped out of BMW, in all honesty.. BMW is VERY oftern much better but i do know that when the new X5 was released, alot of lease companys were buying them up as they had a slightly better rate then BMW..

I know this is a little off-topic, but what would be considered Tier 1 credit with BMW financial? 720 or more FICO score?

AFAIK, BMWFS does not have tiers. It's either pass or fail.
You can apply online, but if you think your credit history is borderline or insufficient some have suggested that you apply with the dealer who will be motivated to "plead" your case.

So if I where going to lease, would going with BMW financial be the best way to go? or are there 3rd party lease places that could be better?

Agreed, I find it unlikey that BMW will price the leases out of their own market. Not that I'm expecting anything great, but it should be competitive. Then I thought the same thing about the 3 series verts.....
