lol. I did too. Once it's on a boat, you can't do that anymore, and you have to be content looking at the tracking website about 60 times a day.

I just do the BMW OC center once in the morning and once at night - twice a day.

I don't call -- can I find status quicker that way? Now I have a VIN and scheduled for production. But, the next step is awaiting transportation. Does the phone number provide more granularity?

Yes. Hands down. I found it gave better info using the automated system, rather than asking for a person to help you on the 800-831-1117 number.
Just call it, say "Vehicle Production Status" and follow the prompts (have your production number handy). You're not bothering anybody that way too. |

Thanks!! Production completion - 11 Feb -- I guess I don't change anything. The wait might be harder then I thought.

No production number type thing here in the UK as far as I am aware - I just get regular updates from the dealer (good service all around). The most recent update was it was in the production queue scheduled for build start beginning of March.....too many weeks to wait!!!

But I also have a wonderful sales assistant who understands my addiction and does not mind checking on her side. Mine has finished build today and is soon on its way to the harbour. (PS! Pumaknight, I am also scheduled to take delivery on 4 April.)

No production number yet!
By the way, how far along in the process will I still be able to make changes to the order (leather color)? Not that I'm indecisive.

Hey Pumaknight! interesting username. My last name is Puma... and I am happy to report that I found out a couple of days ago that my car is on the boat. I was told it is a 14 day journey and it is scheduled to arrive in Charleston So. Carolina on Feb 12th. ---- still won't get the car until sometime close to the US Launch date of March 22nd.
