128i MSport Insurance
I am picking up my 2013 128i MSport tomorrow. As the last action before doing so, I transferred over my insurance today from the 2007 E90 328i with Sport Package that I traded in. To my surprise, the insurance for the 128i is marginally cheaper than for the 328i even though the 328i is 6 years older and has twice the mileage on it. It doesn't make much sense to me but I will take it.

Also depends on theft data in your area- some cars get stolen often - reliability, etc.
Weird stuff. I had a 10 year old Civic that was close to the same insurance rate and the insurance company told me it was because that particular Civic was the #2 stolen car in my zip code. I moved to a different zip and my rate dropped in 1/2! |

strange how this stuff works.
my 2011 1M insurance is the same as my old 2013 135is which was the same as my 2011 Audi A3 quattro before that......no difference at all----even though the 1M has not depreciated at all. |

I went from a e46 sedan to e88 and insurance went up $100 every 6mo. I just assumed the soft top was the difference
