Heat cracks in rotors

Hi everyone, my front rotors have this heat cracks, do i need to replace them or i just have to be careful. At what point do i have to replace them

Im using PFC 08 pads and mainly track use.

My guess is those are the beginnings of real cracks....you are probably ok for the street for a while but will need to keep a close eye on them, I wouldn't do any heavy track work with those. Couple of links:

I think you are still fine tracking them. My new rotors looked like that after a weekend using PFC08s.

Run your fingers over them, if you can get a nail in there, might be cause for concern. Also, once they start getting close to the edge it is more of an issue.

Here are some BMWP rotors that saw about two seasons. The advice I got on those was that they still probably had a couple events left. I was able to feel those cracks quite easily, and didn't really feel comfortable, so I swapped them anyway.:

Thanks for the advice guys. I will start looking for another set and continue using this ones but keeping an eye on them.

This is normal, once it starts expanding to the edge of the rotor then I'd be concerned.

Mine are exact same way running hawk DTC60s .

General rule of thumb is to replace rotors when the cracks make it to the outside edge.
