Track Day Set-up: Going Wide without Spacers
Hi all!
I have a 2008 135i on BC coilovers, lowered about 1" front & rear. Also have camber plates installed. I am looking into a set of wheels for track days. Although I prefer 17" rims, 18" would be fine. My main focus is finding what offset I need to go as wide as possible without the use of spacers. I have read through some threads already, so I'm looking for people with personal experience. I'm hoping there are some rims out there that are at least 8.5" wide which can fit without spacers. Don't mind rolling the fenders. And I would preferably want to put at least 235 tires on, if not wider. Thanks in advance! |

Should give you an idea of what offset will work for your requirements. Seems like a 8.5 ET45 with 235's should work w/o needing a spacer. Honestly though, it's almost impossible to say 100% what will work until you have it on the car. The fitment will vary depending on tire size, tire model, alignment, etc. Not that many people on here are running BC's, so finding someone with the same setup to give input is pretty unlikely. Worst case scenario you'll need a spacer up front, in the rear it will be no problem. |

Can get a 9" wide wheel up front with stock rolled fenders. Will require a spacer to clear the strut. Allow 245-255 tire depending on your particular situation.
