14K VO 1M at $70K

Hi Everyone. A VO 1M with 14K miles is currently on Bring A Trailer here.

Bidding is currently at $70K with ~17 hours to go. Seems a bit high, but what do I know?

Though it is with no navigation.

Prices are sky high. But is non nav really that much more valuable?

Ha, was staying out, but someone tagged me and I got an email alert! Then I see guy implying that that value might be less because it was missing NAV!

Sorry, couldn't stay out then.

Happy Saturday my friends.

I had a great day. Saw my old car today, changed the oil with new owner. Was lovely. It is being well cared for and enjoyed. Made my day.

I'd like to think that no-nav cars will get a premium, as the navigation screen really ages the interior-
though I don't think we have enough recent examples to understand if latest high prices are due to the overall market (most likely), 1M values in general, or the low mileage + specific options.

Every car is really high right now, the 993 air cooled 911's have jumped beyond belief. I know a guy that buys a lot of cool cars mainly 911's and he thinks the 1M is a great deal currently in relationship to other cars that have jumped much higher. He has looked into buying a 1M and he is not a BMW guy, but knows cars and values very well.

Anecdotally - My Golf R 6MT offer from CarMax last week was ~ 3K more than what I bought it for (new) a private sale would be about 5-6K more, so anyone selling a car to make room for the 1M is getting top dollar.

So happy I bought mine 3 weeks back before this latest spike. 1M's to the moon!

Note: the upward trend means DRIVE your cars people! It's not hurting the value, so go and enjoy. I figure I'll drive for 10 years at which time it will have 70kmiles. And it will still command $100k or more.

Mine has 63k miles and at least 25 track days. With all that use, I would probably have to settle for MSRP.

Don't think that's accurate. There are a fair number of low mileage cars out there. A car with 70K miles won't command $100K. A good example of this is the Z4 M Coupe where the spread in price between low and high miles is quite significant. Nothing wrong with driving and enjoying, just don't expect to command a high price at the end of the day.

Even high mile cars bring the money if its desirable. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-toyota-supra-33/

Ha ha fair enough. I'd argue that there aren't many low mile Supras. There are a lot of low mile 1M's. Different market but I do get your point.

Waking this threat up….
Don't look now….
7 days to go and already at $90k, low miles but not stock. Mad Dad mid pipe is disclosed, but there is also obviously a carbon front lip that isn't mentioned in the ad.

I have to say $100k prob gets my attention - original owner, 7k miles, AW stripper and 1 of only 2 built with same options. Never spent a night outside. This market is crazy but this car is really special.
