Do I need a upgraded charge pipe

Hey guys, I've just got the bootmod3 tune and I've read that I should really get an upgraded CP too before it blows? Is this true? thanks

It's definitely suggested. The factory pipes have blown on people, they are made of plastic with welded seams and sometimes pop. There's no way of knowing if yours will or not but it's definitely possible.

bootmod3 is not compatible with your 135 ... I'm hoping you got it for a different car

It can blow on stock pressure...I have the original charge pipe running a basic mhd 1+ running fine for a couple of months, but I have one on the way now. Do not want to get stranded over a known issue.

Its always recommended upgrading the charge pipe when tuning the car. What charge pipe did you get?

Definitely, mine blew on stock power at 75k miles… really doesn’t matter what brand as long as it’s metal.

The brand does not matter, but it's best to get a proven brand with proper fitment and no leaks.
