Arrow 1M exhaust on 135i Complete Info w/ PN and pics

Below are parts diagrams with annotations to what you need to get 1M exhaust to fit on a 135i. Most of this info was accumulated by Venon and I's trial and errors and until the exhausts are actually on our cars.

The battery tray relocates the evaporation canister to the side to allow room for the exhaust. This relocation requires different evaporation canister hoses and longer battery cables. These items will also need to be purchased to make this mod. You may also have to cut and extend your evaporation canister relay wire.

The 1M exhaust hangers despite not being in the photo diagram are located on the 1M rear bumper carrier.

All OEM parts came out to around $600 USD - Excluding Exhaust Unit and Diffuser.

I hope some of this information answers some of your questions and clears up some of the speculation. I will slowly be posting all of the 135I to 1M conversion information I have accumulated over the past few months.

Nice, if my car wasn't a lease I'd totally do this.

600 including OEM exhaust? What are your plans for a diffuser?

$600 does not include OEM exhaust. BMW would never sell an OEM exhaust that cheap. You have to do these parts for $600 + get your own exhaust and diffuser.

You can most likely do something like this.

$600 for OEM Parts. $300-$600 OEM 1M exhaust used on forums. $400-600 ebay quad diffuser.

Looking at about $1300 minimum and $1800 maximum to do this. Can also just get only a diffuser and have an exhaust shop make you a quad exhaust.

Mmmmm Meisterschaft quads. I'm not going to do a quad setup, but props for doing it right and not just adding 2 fake tips off on one side.

Go Meisterschaft! I love how dual sus-gt sounds. Never regret of getting Meisterschaft over Eisenmann, worth the money and noise

Very cool! Congrats on figuring it all out.

Personally though, with $600 just to move crap around on top of the price for an orm exhaust plus a diffuser, I'd just go with an aftermarket quad. Probably sounds better / louder than the stock 1M exhaust anyway.

Still very impressive

Awesome!

Question: where does the evap canister move FROM and is there (in theory) any where more out of the way to move it?

I was wondering if you could run a pipe around the right as well as the left (like 3ers)?

Way to give back to the community, I'm sure this was a lot of effort to compile. Some people wouldn't share info like this for money, much less for good karma.

BASTUCK! I love it and only slight modification for quad. Diffuser for it IMO is the best looking.

Great job sorting out what parts are needed.
The real question, how does it sound?
Any sound clips?

I went with a GT Haus Meistershaft instead of an OEM. Venom went with an OEM axelback with a performance Y pipe and Catless DP.

Both cars sound good. My car is quite a bit louder and has a ton of burble. His is quieter and for most probably more preferable.

The Evap canister doesnt move much. In both situations it mounts to the battery tray. For the 1m exhaust it is slightly moved to allow clearance. The hoses that are on the evap canister are actually more like tubes and are pretty hard plastic. They will only flex a little, if you go to much they pinch. The battery trays are moulded and have screw holes to receive the evap canisters. If you wanted to move it further, it would require a custom bracket and custom hoses. I dont think it would be worth it. It would complicate the project a lot more.

No problem. If anyone needs help finding any parts or has any questions about the battery mod or 1M parts etc, please feel free to PM me.

Install was straight forward for the shop. Everything bolted up. The only difficult part was cutting and extending a relay wire.

My exhaust sounds amazing. Currently it is the meistershaft paired with a berk mid. Soon the catless DPs will be going on again. The exhaust turns heads. The exhaust on my car sounds no different than a 1M equipped with the same parts.
