Comfort access

I recently purchased a 2008 BMW 135i, two of the things wrong with the car is the battery is saying low voltage and is draining when it sits for a week or so. As well as the comfort access on the drivers side handle (first world problems I know).
Is there a connection between the two? What are the things I could do to try and troubleshoot the handle?
Thanks!
Feel free to ask questions for additional information!

Assuming you don't have to park the car on the street -
Your best option for rectifying that battery low voltage issue is to buy yourself a c-tek charger. It costs less than a new battery, and you'll need it at some point anyway.

I'd also try cleaning the door handle, and changing the button battery in your remote as a first step for your CA issue. It probably won't fix the problem, but it costs very little to rule it out

Edit: also, if you're parking in your home garage, lock the car and keep the keys well outside of comfort access range; otherwise the car doesn't completely turn off.

From what I understand, Comfort Access is one of the first things to go when your battery gets low.

Sounds like a short in the drivers handle. Could try disconnecting the drivers handle and see if the battery drain issue goes away.

Scanning for faults should really tell you what's going on.

I don't think that it is a battery drain issue I just think it was time to replace the battery. Is the drivers side handle a common problem with comfort access?

All the handles are a common problem. Usually get a battery drain issue at the same time.
