this is the guide i followed, wasn't hard. The hardest part for me was cutting the dashboard. Cutting the dash was painful haha. Having a template made it easy. I'll include the template. |

I reread your post, what is it exactly that the combox does? Also, is there somewhere you can recommend to source the wires? Thanks.

the combox adds:
Bluetooth audio streaming Album Art covers display (via USB port in the armrest) Office menu (for iPhone only Contacts are currently available, other phones can have text messages, Calendar, Tasks, Emails, etc.)** New version of Voice Control powered by Nuance including One-Shot Destination Entry feature The wires you will need will be dependent on the current features your car has now. Example if you have usb/aux under the armrest. If your current car has bluetooth and so on. I would call up bimmer retrofit, they have all the wiring in order to add the combox. They will also be able to tell you what you need by your vin. |
