HID conversion?

Been searching and searching, has any1 yet been able to find a newer/recently released product or an efficient way to convert stock halogen lights to HID? Seems to me like people aren't having any success with any of the products out to solve the wattage error issue. Have to change the housing and install a new projector cut too... Anyone have any updates?

I'm still waiting on someone to crash their 1 and buy their HID off them

This seems to be a nice kit:

http://www.bimmian.com/HIR/82

I received it as a Christmas present but I haven't had a chance to install them yet in my 128.

DDM doesn't have the actual full headlight conversion retrofitting case for HIDs on e82s. They have them for e36s. The stuff on DDM are just the ballast/bulbs/wattage fooler. Don't want to get HIDs unless I can do them legally and safely, aka retrofit casing and projector.

Im curious for more details on the bimmian HID retrofit kit, if it comes with the retrofittable projector lensing and casing into the original headlight casing, or whether you need to also get a new headlight casing altogether. Awaiting pictures of the product, and possible showcase demonstration?

The bimmian kit for our cars is really no different than the one from ddm. it may be higher quality (or not, have not used it personally). So far, the only way i know of is to send your current hallogen housing to a shop the specializes in custom hid projector retrofit, then use an aftermarket kit with the code eliminator.

Im currently experimenting with an oem retrofit. I managed to secure most of the parts very cheap, including the adaptive headlight housing and controlers. ill let everyone how my progress goes.

Legally, the only way to retrofit xenons is with 100% OEM parts. This includes the suspension level sensors and harnesses, the footwell module, the switch, coding, etc.

So those guys who are swapping out the housing and projectors off of s2ks to put them on their A4s and 3series are still doing it illegally? They're not using 100% OEM parts.

I have a set OEM lights (EUROS) XENONS in stock, complete with bulbs and ballast.
You just have to do some rewirering or buy a new footwell module to get them work.

just send me a pm.
