Best Chicago BMW Dealership?

My car has started to make some funny noises when I brake so I need to take it to a dealer... problem is, I hear the Chicago city dealer is a real nightmare...

So, who's the best dealer in the Chicago area? I'm hoping I wont have to drive more than 40mins to get to a good one.

Thanks!

Patrick BMW in Schaumburg is the BEST.. They are great to me as a customer .. Mod friendly as well - more soo than other dealerships from what I hear. Try them out.. Also if you do decide to go talk to the service advisor - Marc

I am currently having a good experience with Laurel BMW of Westmont. Bill Jacobs in Naperville I would not recomend at all. Called my SA there 3 times over a 3 week period and he never called back. I also called the main number to make sure he wasnt on vacation and that he was in. Still never returned my calls. Unbelievable.

I've had very good luck with Laurel.

Interesting that the Fields BMW dealer is getting -ve comments - I've since traded the BMW in for a Land Rover and the Fields Land Rover dealer in Winnetka has done a great job so far (including getting a few service items sorted)

I also agree that Bill Jacobs in Naperville is not the best either, at least not their sales department. I am getting my new car from Perillo's. So far they seem pretty good from the sales side. Anyone know if Perillo's service side is good, bad, neutral?

In spite of their "creepy" commercials, I have a positive relationship with Perillo.

Buying a car at Perillo is one thing...Joey Perillo give you a great deal...their service dept really sucks bad. I was buying my 3xi series from them and some lady was going ballistic on the service manager for denting her door on her new 5. Plus I have some other friends who have had some really bad experiences. Even though Orland is further..they always have loaners and service is always is done right.

I've always wonder about the cramp spaces from Perillo's. Gotta be easy to have dings etc. Hmmm....I was gonna go back to Perillo's for service cuz there's D&B across the street! Now I might have to rethink...

I took my car in for first service at Perillo this week. I took it in for a whole list of problems, but the stangest was an air-leak under the windshield! It turns out that the glass had been replaced with non-BMW glass -- probably due to an insurance claim. The job was botched (and not sealed properly).

BMW refused to pay for the repair (I think understandably) but Perillo L-M has decided to pay for the repair for me. This is without me having to raise my voice at all.

So far -- my experience has been fine. "Alex" tells me to ask him if I need anything else at all.
