when I check oil levels...

When I check the oil the little clock( the waiting clock ) just cycles and the display just goes back to the main clock screen, and does not show me the levels..

anyone got any ideas?

That won't do it as your car warms up faster when moving. As ronster said, until the oil is warm, there is no reading.

I find that when outside temps are around freezing, it takes about 6 miles and in 90o weather the oil is sufficiently warm in about two miles.

And you will get the oil level reading while moving - it's the dash computer "Service Info" page which requires the car to be idling while stopped.
