Kelley Blue Book comes in at $28,800 for a private sale assuming good condition.
The MT and mature female former owner are also positives, so I'd rate the deal as Very Good. Tom |

It sounds fair. Just to be sure, check the records and see the oil change intervals and the first oil change done.

I would rate it is a "Good Deal" if all of the maintenance was completed. An older lady is not going to push the car as hard as we do

Right, which also means that the engine never seen a redline or been broken in properly or she might be one of those old folks that changes oil every 20k miles lol. Just be careful and test drive the car.

I will test drive. Are there any things that stand out that I should look for?
I have the vehicle history report. Oil changes at 3K, 15k, and 28k. Also, my conversations with her didn't portray her as an old lady who only drove to church on Sunday. she is an enthusiast and after all, she chose to purchase a 6 speed manual. I believe the extended warranty to be a big plus as well. in terms of the price, I typically use KBB as a guide. I try to find real sales prices, asking prices and other market info I can find. I also use Carmax as a bellweather of market pricing based upon their "loaf of bread" price approach. From what I can find, the $25k appears to be on the lower end of all pricing I found. Thanks all for the feedback. |
