I do not think 335 is going to take over 325 or 330. The reason being that 325 or 330 is BREAD AND BUTTER for BMW than any other series. I am sure they will keep on pumping up the sales for this model. Let's be serious here, there is no need for any discussion in this thread if you are so rich, you will just buy it for the heck of it. It is not necessary the newest model of BMW wins over every other car type of deal. Be happy of what you have and when you have the extra, then do whatever floats your boat! Afterall, its your money ... you're the BOSS!

The only reason that I would buy a 335i is because of the dual exhaust tips
Otherwise, it is a mere 30 bhp or so more than the new 330i.. hardly worth the extra money. That's up to you what you all decide to do though. 270+ bhp is more than enough for me. I think you will be able to buy a 330i Sport for the same price as a 335i SE. 335i Sport seems well out of the question for me as I like to add around £10-15k of options. And as far as I'm aware, the 335i won't come with anything extra. |

One of the highlights of the press release for the turbo engine was that it makes 300lb-ft over a wide swath of the RPM band. It's still probably premature to geusstimate performance but I'd wager the 335i outruns the Lexus IS350, and the IS350 is no slouch. :rocks: |

I'm good with my 330i. I only financed for three years, so I'll wait at least four before I sell it. By then the new M3 will be out. 425hp naturally aspirated sounds much nicer than 300hp with a turbo. That also gives me a lot of lead in time to put together a nice down payment.

Hell NO! I love my car and I went overbaord on the 330 as it is...I'm already thinking I wasted money on the 330 instead of the 325...you cant use the extra HP anyway in North America...if you have the HP Europe is the place to drive..trading up at lease end is the better option

Another thought is fuel economy. Yeah, most people don't care, but I do. I was told that the 335 is not as good as the 330 in that category. That makes a difference to me. My e46 was getting over 28 mpg average before I sold it. What an awesome car that was!

Kind of strange that I hear no one saying he would buy a 328i E92?
Look like all the people who have not yet bought a E90 here are greedy for engine power rather than he really wants a 2-door

Some of my friends have a constant, in fact, endless quest for more horsepower. But then at the end of the day power is nothing without control. Look at Camry & Lexus both models have been offered a larger engine displacement - 3.5 litre. So what? Some of you have mentioned that even a 335i will be beaten by Evo XI & Subaru WRX Sti - both are good cars.
There are something that none of the above, other than E90, have -- the sportiness and refinement. Had i not bought a E90 sedan, i would have fallen for E92 sedan. For those who have owned a E90 already, there is not much of a "wow" factor that really drives you into E92. Even i were to trade up from E46 coupe to E92, i wouldn't consider 335i. However good the twin-turbo is, it's bound to have turbo lag. And, the twin-turbo thing i suspect it will inheretly have some teething problems. I'm officially saving for E90 M3; in the meantime, i'll hold on to my 330. |

I would guess a newly designed M3 V8 will still bear the same risk as a 335i. Wait a year until the M3 V8 problems are all fixed.

The official word was that we would be getting E90, E91, & E92 M3s. Nothing recent on this though, and that range is likely limited to the Euro market.
