i hope there are some 17s that fit over the brakes. otherwise 18s for sure. I want this car to perform well. 19s = more $$$, less performance.

Hey, why don't you get a 7-series and you won't be having problems with youngsters.
Or why don't I order a 1er with properly sized wheels that actually PERFORM and let "youngsters" replace their heavy tires and heavy expensive rims every six months when they pop and bend?

as abrasive as your posts often are, I have to agree 100%.

the spirit (at least according to the press release) of the car is to perform well. I think the 18s that are on the car are a strech. but they could be replaced with lighter 18s and non-RFTs. adding 19s pushes more weight onto the wheel and farther from the hub, plus its expensive, you have to put rubber bands around them for tires, and it will probably feel as such.

to those who are planning on slappin 19s on this car, what is your reason for purchasing it in the first place? just cause its a BMW? cause it looks cool? it obviously isnt the same reason im lookin at it.

Not all youngsters are putting larger wheels on the car

Why all this talk about how rims LOOK?

19's would be absurd on this car.

Even 18's might be over the edge.

It's a driver's car, not a pimpmobile.

It's all about handling... 19's are just too stiff. 18's are better. 17's might actually be ideal on this car.

I'm starting to hope the car is more expensive, not less, to keep punks out of it.

You're not alone in that train of thought.

It's doubtful that there are many professional diplomats here, so tact will probably be in short supply at times. Anyway, I find it kind of refreshing when people speak their mind just as long as it doesn't get too personal.
