128i M-Sport 6MT No-Nav SoCal Car
This is not mine. I just looked at it and drove it. If someone needs a great M sport daily driver this is it. The family is asking $9K and already has offers for less so FYI. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...161831589.html I drove the car and it drove just as you would expect a 96K mile BMW to drive. I mean that in a good way! The idle was good, the AC worked the shocks still had life in them, the clutch was nice and the shifting most of all was a nice 8.9 out of 10. It was a tad firm like it needed fresh trans fluid but equal on all gears not the dreaded 2nd gear crunch. All the gears worked great and I'm pretty sure some fresh fluid would make it a 9.9 out 10. The interior was all around well also in good shape for the age. On the outside the car looks great at a distance but it does have some pitting on the rear bumper people bumping into it. My wife is a teacher and the same thing happens to her GTI at school. There appears to be a front bumper repaint and a touch-up on the hood that appears like someone put a little bondo on the front and repainted the section. You can only notice it close up. I have driven a few 128i as I look for one and this one drove well as it should drive for a 10 year 96K BMW. I did't rev it out since it's not car my car but felt great up to 4K RPM. Gentlemen, I think $9K for someone that is not crazy obsessive like me and want to drive a really nice M-Sport 128i. I am torn, I really want it but for me, I don't know anyone in the business and a repaint to my standards. So someone jump on this car and save a piece of history for what car and driver said was one of the best BMWs of that generation. Last edited by nachob; 07-19-2020 at 07:02 PM.. |

I saw it while browsing Craigslist and popped over here to see if the owner was on 1Addicts. Not in the market currently, but is it N51 or N52? There is another one in near identical specs, white on red too, that has been floating on San Diego CL for months as well.
6MT M Sport 128i is the future classic of the chassis!

Yes and yes. The coral interior in San Diego has been there for what seems like two years and I looked at it about two months ago and looked rough just sitting on small independent lot. And yes the one in this post is N51.
