Pike- Keep checking the schedule though as they change often.
Wow, I think this is one of the busiest west coast groups I've seen. I hope everyone gets on a boat soon.

Ordered 4/2, production started 4/9, completed 4/16. Currently "awaiting transport to port of exit," so I guess I'm about the same as the other 16ers.

I got my order in as #9 of 10 allocated to the dealer for April (on the 2nd!). If I had waited much longer....

I got the last allocation my dealer had for April. The next one wouldn't have been available until May. That's why when I originally went in to test drive one and they told me that they wouldn't have one to drive until April 24th and that after that I wouldn't be able to order one until May I said screw it and ordered the car sight unseen.

In fact I'm going into this purchase pretty much completely blind. The only 1er on my dealers entire lot was a bone stock 128i in Sedona red. So I've not only never seen a 135i, but I've never seen the color, interior aluminum trim, or any of the options I ordered except in pictures.

I might go down there on the 24th to drive the one they have coming just to be sure I don't hate it. But then again I might not as it might make the wait that much more painful.

This is pissing me off! Mine was completed on 4/15 and it is still at the port of exit awaiting a shipping vessel! I am really jealous of you.....

I better call and check again and make sure I didn't hit the wrong number or something stupid like that.

Edit: I must have done something stupid. It's still waiting for transportation to the port.

The website and 800# are saying the same thing.

Maybe you just got lucky? With my first E92, it was just over 5 weeks from the day I ordered to the day I picked her up....sometimes the schedules just work out right. That could be the case for you.....

Do you know your VIN? I guess that would be the most accurate--I don't know if you mess up a production number (mis-enter a number) if that gives you the status on someone else's car.....I am going to call again with my VIN.....

Honestly, as much as I want the car, I will be better off if it doesn't get here until the last week of May, or early June. That last two weeks will make significantly more money available to me for downpayment.

Don't get me wrong, if I found out it was going to be here in early to mid May I'd be all over it still, I'd just be financing more and then applying the money to the loan after I got it, but better to put it down and not finance as much in the first place IMO.

I didn't really want the car until late June when I was ordering, but I had to either take this allocation that was already scheduled for production, or wait until late July/early August. That would have been torture and I'm not sure I would have survived.

I hear you--I am actually hoping mine gets here after the May money factors are released--the April numbers were down from the March ones.....if I am lucky, they will go down again. You pay to have it early though......

Where do you order from there in Evansville? I got mine in Indy from Dreyer....just curious....

We've actually got a small dealership here in town. They've only got one 135 and one 128 on the lot so far. Surprisingly enough they've got 2 M3 coupes and one sedan, and an M5 on the lot though.

I hadn't been keeping up with the lease rates after seeing the first ones. Good to know that they're coming down. I may still consider that when the time comes. I trade cars about every three years anyway, so it makes sense if the deal is right.

Back to the waiting I guess.

OK I've been "released to a carrier" so apparently I'm sitting on the dock with the rest of you. There are west bound ships coming in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday so hopefully I'll make one of those. <fingers crossed>

when it says "your vehicle is at the port of exit, waiting for a shipping vessel".
then your car will be at the port.

i hope we get on one of those boats!

Hmmm... OK, so then I'm on a train heading to the port? Still progress so I'm happy.

I'm also still at port, since 4/17. Not surprisingly, none of our cars made the 4/18 boat that departed. Interestingly, the 4/22 boat has the same May 16th ETA as the 4/18 boat. ??

The finance manager at my dealership seemed pretty confident that it will take less 14 days from VPC arrival to final NM delivery. He said they've been moving the priority-1 cars through VPC faster lately, and the final trucking time is only 2 days. Here's hoping he's right.

I think most of us have our fingers crossed that our cars get here ASAP. Only exceptions are those guys who are trying to time the delivery with the sale of another car and/or the end of a previous lease.
