I'd like to see the front of the E90 Halogen headlight
Hi all,
I am newbie to the forum and BMW. I found this site very useful to all BMW owners. Thank you everyone I ordered BMW 320i without test driving and seeing the front of my new car. Hopefully, I 'll get my car next month. I have couple of questions to ask. Could anyone post the pix of BMW with halogen headlights? Does it come with angel eyes? Can I replace them with the Xenon bulbs? Thank you very much Breakfast101 |

Halogen lights do not come with Halo's(Angel Eyes), only HID(Xenons). You can swap out your lights and put in a set of HID's if money isn't a issue, cuz they are wayy more alone than if you ordered the HID kit in the beginning.

I would recommend upgrading to the Xenons / Angel Eyes.
I did and think they add to the class of the car. That and I am sad and everytime I see my wife driving the car with the lights on, I sit and say "ooh ahh"

Hi again,
Here in Thailand we do not have so many choices to choose. Actually we have 3 choices: 320i, 320iSE and 330i 330i is a fully loaded choice of E90. 320iSE comes with Bi-Xenon, Burr Walnut trim, 156 style wheel, Multi function steering wheel, foglamps, Automatic folding side mirror and etc. 320i comes with Halogen headlights, Brushed aluminium trim, 154 style wheel and other standard features. I don't like some options they offer. So, I decided to get the standard one and I will upgrade the options I like later. Bi-Xenon is the first option I like to have in my car. Thank you very much breakfast101 |

Plus the light from projectors is very pinpoint and bright, not like these reflector-type halogan bulbs. I must say though that I think BMW has the best stock halogen lighting available.

Hi EVO_S4,
I think the Halogen headlight looks meaner when it's off but Bi Xenon with Angel eyes is the winner when it's on.......... Thank you very much for your kindness breakfast101 |

No problem, but once you start driving with HIDS you would never want to back to halogen

I too went with the "stock" 325 because I didn't like the packages. HID/angel is my 1st planned upgrade. Those just look SOOOO from in front.
I'm curious though, on the foglamps. Is the wiring in place already and you just plug in a bulb, no need for the exciter? I didn't yet read the whole post that RachelS put up. |

But remember, this is just a halogen H11 bulb. This is not a HID bulb. If you wanted to do an HID conversion, I'm sure you'll have to install a ballast also.

I think RachelS liked the color match more than anything else. I went and looked, she did use just halogen. Something like $26.

I think halogen driving lights are fine, especially if they are ION Yellow. They really cut thru fog and such better than HID's IMHO. HID's in the fog are very reflective.
