Feedback on ARM FMIC, CP and hose kit?

While looking for a FMIC, I ran across the ARM stuff for our cars.

Any feedback on it? Their 5" stepped intercooler is only $300, and they have a CP and intercooler hose upgrade kit too which are both well priced.

I was actually going to do a review and DIY write up on this since I couldn't find one when I was installing mine but from my experience I have the 7" Core and CP from ARM. On their website they claim the 5" and 7" can be installed without removing the front bumper but I can tell you for a fact the 7" cannot be installed without removing the front bumper. I had to remove mine and cut a decent amount of plastic from behind the bumper and the support in order to get this to fit. You also have to get creative with mounting it but its not too bad. CP fitment was great as well no issues.

As far as performance, I haven't done any logs yet but so far I'm very happy with how the car pulls, before and after was very noticeable over stock, I have full bolt on mods minus catless downpipe with Dinan S3 and feels really nice. Feels like my car holds full boost more now to 6K RPM and did not feel this way with the stock intercooler. Overall happy with the price and results.

I know thie is a year old but I have the 5' stepped and the hose upgrade from ARM. The install took me about 2 hours while my car was on ramps in the parking lot. No trimming required, and it was pretty straight forward. Hardest part was the boost pipe / hot side pipe. The stock one IS A PAIN to remove without a dremmel.

I been recently shopping all intercoolers. I have a 5"stepped but it has oem fittings and my oem flexi boot keeps slipping off the outlets. 23psi I'm sure has something to do with it. So I was confused at why some intercoolers like ER are so expensive and don't look like much. Is there something special going on with them i dont know about? I was looking for a big ic and narrowed it down to arm, bms and vrsf. Since my inlets and outlets and chargepipes are all vrsf I went with the 7.5 race. But I could have easily done the bms. It looks nice too. The arm I was looking at, I was scared away from because I saw alot of negative reviews for that and their piping upgrade kit. Which is why I was interested in the first place. So far so good with the vrsf but I have not done any logs, or even checked the iat's since I installed it. But I will soon. And I believe most 5" will be a direct fit and all the 7" or 7.5" will need trimming to fit.
Good luck.

I went with ARM 5" FMIC and CP. Did not need to remove the bumper for FMIC, install was pretty straight forward. I did the hose upgrade too which took some finagling to get properly installed, however, I did not use the smaller hose because it required me to cut a one time use metal clip and I did not see the point so I left it OEM on that side.

CP fit great. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TIGHTEN THE SCREWS on the CP FOR NITROUS/METH. The screws came loose while driving and popped off and the car was throwing "too much air" codes.

I have the ARM 3" IC to charge pipe, that I can't use. They call it the hose upgrade.

I can say that it will not fit an automatic car. The trans cooler box is in the way. A Manual/DCT car should be fine.

That's what I initially went to do, but I knew that when I turn up the boost I don't want that part to be the bottle neck, nor do i want it to fail. I would look into eventually removing and replacing that hose.

Agreed. It was gonna be a PIA and I just didn't feel the that side's upgraded hose was worth it. It's the same diameter running in so I didn't see it as an issue. Still have the part if something does happen though.
