Wanted: 50mm thin wrench for driveshaft removal and/or rsfb removal tool

Anyone here close to GTA with the 50mm wrench for driveshaft removal and rear subframe bushing removal tool that I can rent this weekend?

I plan to swap pumpkin and install RSFB.
Thanks

I got one in Detroit.

Or you can just order this one and it should be there on time:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/KD-Tools-39...53.m2749.l2649

Works just as good as the more expensive ones.

I really appreciate the offer to help but I will be working on the car with my friend at his shop during after hours and I don't get to invite people since its not my shop. I am sorry

Just curious on what diff you are putting in. I just ordered an LSD and will be pulling my pumpkin in the next couple of weeks as well.

LOL, pull my pumpkin.

Anyway, on a serious note. How thin do you think the wrench needs to be? Thinking about just ordering this and maybe hitting it with a grinder to get it to size.

I bought the mfactory helical lsd assembled pumpkin with shorter 3.46 ratio from synchrotech during the black friday sale.
There are people who buy the regular wrench and grind it down to fit. I am not sure on exact width though.

That's awesome.

A friend and I both ordered the 2.81 units from Syncrotech out of the 335d for our DCTs. Stock is 2.56. Sent them to a buddy in Brooklyn who is driving up for the holidays. We will be sending the cores back with him as well. Was going to do the CBI thing but since he was coming up anyway...

my friend ordered 2.56 for his DCT because there was something wrong with the shifting on DCT when you change ratios due to speed sensor or something? I am not sure what it was exactly

My research shows that the 2.81 is within spec. If you go with the 3.08 or higher there is an issue.

Mfactory lists a 2.81 final drive gear set as an upgrade to the 2.56 DCT. Turner Motorsports also markets the 2.81 as an upgrade to the 2.56 DCT.

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3.../?pdk=AQEBAQEB

Turner has a solid rep so if they say it works I'm in. That being said the proof will be in the pudding once I stuff that baby in there.

Oh,
Thats good I guess you can get a shorter gear for the DCT. Just make sure you can return yours as core because they expect the core to have same ratio.

I installed my pumpkin on over the weekend and it is crazy how much traction I have now.
I guess thats expected going from 1 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive.

If you guys need to borrow 50mm wrench, let me know I can lend it out.
(Drive shaft nut was so scary because it feels like you are over torquing something. It was not easily to rotate it with just the tool I needed to attach a breaker bar and I had to spin it with alot of force until it was completely off. (It was not like break open and then free spin.)

Glad you are enjoying the new LSD.

We contacted them before ordering the 2.81 to let them know we were returning 2.56 cores. How thin was the wrench you have. I did order that one of Amazon but it is huge and fairly thick too. Would likely have to grind it thinner. Haven't had a chance to get under there and take a look. If it becomes too much of a PITA I will hit you up to borrow your wrench.
