WTB: BMW E82 Performance Side Skirts

Figured I would reach out here as I have been looking for these for awhile. I ordered as set to only find out that it's discontinued. I then proceeded to order an aftermarket set made from the same OEM material...only to be shipped the M-Tek ones...and then told that company no longer makes them.

I actually found a set on the auction site the other day, but turned another member on to them as I thought I had a pair coming, and figured I was doing the right thing.

Raw, unfinished, or already painted...I am game for anything.

Thought I would post up in this section as a last resort.

Thanks!

Bump again! Still trying to find a pair of these.

I have read of people having these laying around undecided if they plan to use them or not.

Willing to pay your purchase price + a premium as long as it's reasonable.

Thanks for looking!

Argh! After purchasing them 7 months ago, I finally got around to taking mine to have painted, and it turns out BMW shipped me one for the E82 and one for the five-door E87, so now I'm out of luck, with a mismatched set. Did you find a source for any more?

I show that you can still get these, just not as a kit. Look for 51770432385 and 51770432386.

Thanks. 51770432386 is the one I need, but it's still hard to find. Turner/ECS and Get BMW Parts are saying it's NLA, and I ordered it from Newparts, only to have them tell me they can't get it and cancel my order.

I've now purchased it for 50% over retail from a place on eBay, so we'll see how that goes...

BMW has the worst parts inventory system I've ever seen online. Parts that are NLA routinely show up in dealer inventories even when they don't exist. I've ordered many parts only to have my order canceled. How hard is it to remove them from your inventory once they are discontinued???

Yeah, if it's still available, I imagine it won't be long until it's NLA.

Still available, according to these websites:

https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...ng-51110432374

Maybe ECS needs to be called as well for the Performance bumper, to make sure. It would have to be an email to getbmwparts.com, though.

I can understand why kits are NLA, but there will always be people with existing parts who have accidents and need replacements. I would hope there is a small supply available for a while.

I emailed getbmwparts.com regarding the Performance bumper. Took a few seconds. Will report back with what they say.

Hey guys so I recently emailed ECS and Getbmw and unfortunately even though the site does NOT specifically say it’s NLA, it is

I have been monitoring this for years and since it’s been discontinued, the list price has gone down. Bumper retailed for ~$650-690 at its height and the skirts at ~$230-270. So if these have gone down, means it gone.

Or they're trying to get rid of the last of their inventory.

Did you inquire about the Performance bumper?

At this point I think we're pretty sure the side skirts are NLA.

Hey Esteban, I did inquire about the bumper and that’s what they told me. Seems like everyone is using the same database as most said “seems like the part is NLA blah blah blah...” So I’m assuming that it’s gone. Forever.

Although one forum member here recently pieced the kit together through his local dealer in CT(?) and got them. I was hoping he can chime in and maybe contact his dealer so I can drive down there and get one

I wished i pulled the trigger long time ago. I’ve literally followed prices on the ECS site for years but never had the courage to pull the $700 trigger

Well, sorry to hear that. Maybe you'll get lucky, as well as Rmtt and duder13, and the parts you want will pop up somewhere.

Yeah, the side skirt kit is definitely NLA (2 skirts, 2 plugs, hardware,) but I was hoping I could part it out with individual pieces, since Turner told me BMW assembles the kits themselves before shipping.

Ultimately, if this eBay purchase ends up being legit, and I'm essentially combining my kit that was missing one skirt with an extra a la cart skirt...and it's costing me double.

I just recently sourced everything for the performance bumper so I hope this helps. All of the front bumper kits are NLA so you have to order everything separate. There were about 50 of the bumpers without PDC or HLW in Germany PN:51110432374. If your car is an 135i m-sport, you'll also need the brake/oil cooler ducts PN:51740442875. As well as the blank duct for the driver side PN:51740433107. You'll also need the center grill PN:51110432376. In hopes of saving some of you the headache, if you have an 135i m sport, you do not need the adapter piece PN:51750432379. On the bottom you'll reuse 5 of the existing bolts along the front. Everything has to be shipped over from Germany so also take time and cost of paint into consideration. Next up is the Kerscher lip to finish it off

I received an email back from getbmwparts.com and they said basically the same thing that Divbetic said.
