my onboard computer shows average fuel consumption of 8.6 l /100km but I regularly travel from Golden to Hope ( 570km ) before filling up and that is over the Rogers' pass as well as the Coquihalla ---not sure how much further I could go from Hope but always fill up there as the gas is cheaper than the Fraser valley. I don't drive much in the
city --the joys of living in a small town means that there is no traffic to speak of!

Did a trip from TO to Key West, Fl this summer and could not believe it myself. Highway this thing is amazing... Sniffs on fuel...

Fuel must be leaking out one of my cylinders instead of being combusted! I have never seen slightly more than 600km from the onboard computer while cruise control set at 120.

IF your averaging 12.9L on a 128i ...you must be driving like a jack-ass.
I only average 12.0L/100kms , not sure how many but close to 500kms/tank. Also, installed the bmw performance exhaust and euro intake w./ KN filter (cant imagine it makes that much of a significant drop). i also drive mostly in DS and not too conservative.

I see similar numbers when i drive at those speeds (90-95) in the 135i but it's damn boring, and only a matter of time before i switch maps and floor the gas peddle and ruin my mileage Can only drive in eco mode in my head for so long without going insane.
