larry, are they just as good at night, I have had bad experiences with cheap light bubls before... cool colours, but not as bright as stock.

They're very bright at night and match the headlights pretty well... a bagillion times better than the stock yellow corona rings do.

Not bad, I think I prefer the Predator Xenix color though: http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/p106...duct_info.html

Guys I just changed the H8 bulb and it looks MUCH better. However, I'm not sure which bulb the outer coronas take. I want to match it to the interior, smaller rings. I'm not sure if it's an H3 or not, the manual mentions that as being another bulb. Any info on this? Thanks.

the single H8 per side does both of the rings. The design makes the outer slightly dimmer than the inside ring......bad BMW, bad!!!

In IMHO, they look much better with just one ring brightly illuminated on each side. I like what BMW did. :iono:

I just installed the 8500's took about 20 min but took my time b/c I didn' want to break anything. The hardest part was getting the "bitch clip" latched back on. Oh and a question for a noob...when do the inner light bulbs light up? the one on the inside corona ring?

So once you guys install these bulbs, does it affect the openeing sequence (like when you unlock your doors approaching the car) and the halos slowly illuminate? I agree white will look better but I think that slow illumination is pretty trick.

I was curious about the wattage, too. I didn't see the answer off-hand.....

The higher wattage are for other applications, like fogs, and non-xenon headlamp replacement, iirc. |
