Cool Any information on Leasing a 135i?

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how much the leasing will start at for a 135i? A friend of mine went to a BMW dealer and one of the reps told him that the 128i is going to start at $299 a month. Anyone have any ideas or know for sure? Thanks!!

Wow - $299 is pretty reasonable, we'll see if it's accurate - there are some dealership folks hanging around here, maybe they can chime in.

Oh and welcome to the gang!!

we really can't tell how much the payment will be. Think about all the factors that you need to take in consideration: MF, residual, the state you live in, final purchase price.

But, honestly, a $300 seems doable.

$299 for the 128? With how much cap cost reduction? That should make the 135 well under $400 then. I might consider leasing if it is that much cheaper than std finance.

Anybody who is familiar with BMW knows they don't launch at heavily subsidised rates and they know if there is a demand for one model they ask a premium for it. Try leasing a 335 coupe vs a 328 coupe right now..... The 335 has a higher rate and lower residual which makes its already higher price point that much more noticable when you try to lease one. The 1 series will definitely fall into the "specialty" catagory because for most families its not going to be practical due to size and 2 door configuration. BMW is clearly aiming the 135 at enthusiasts and we're going to pay a little more.... The 128 will be built in higher numbers and probably subsidised in the lease end a bit more just like the 328s are now. The "deals" will definitely fall on the 128 but $299..... Probably with the normal $2500 down plus fees on a car with sport or steptronic and not much else. These are still BMWs we're talking about. I priced the 135 the way I want it.... That jumped to $40270 pretty quick!!! (met paint, sport, usb, heated seats, bluetooth, coral red leather) Equipped this way I figure a 36 month lease without $$ down, just inceptions will fall into the low $500s which is just about what my 04 330ci ZHP was when rates were a bit lower a few years ago.

You are probably closer to reality. If the leasing ends up being in the $500's I will just put something down and buy the darn thing.

Guys, I don't see how it can get any easier. Go to bmwusa.com and price out a 335i coupe to the specs of your 135i. Then go to estimate a payment. This should give you a great idea of where you'll be at in terms of a monthly payment. It's not exact, but at least you'll be in the ballpark.

could be way off

and anyone who actually pays those "estimates" at dealerships has a screw lose!

I just think it would be soo ridiculous to pay 500 a month for this car. My friend just got a 2008 528xi with premium package, cold weather, and auto transmission. He's leasing it for 3 years and paying 600 a month with 5,000 down. RIPPED OFF MUCH!?

As far as a 2008 528xi, thats a $51000 car.... what do you think it should be with $5000 down? Was it $5000 plus fees or $5000 total? There are a lot of factors involved in there like miles per year, if he is currently a BMW customer or not.... Keep in mind the 135 will be closer to $40000 for most of us than $30000 so if you use the rule of a lease being about $100-175 less than a typical finance over 60 months than that means a $40000 car is usually about $800 ($20/$1000 financed) monthly so if you pay your taxes upfront that makes a lease for 36 months closer to $625-650 but I think BMW will try to market it in the $500's. Which means a strong residual. The 128 will probably fall into the $400's on a lease if they work it this way..... That isn't being ripped off, thats math applied to finance.
