It took some time, but I actually used 3/8-inch black pinstripe tape (from Autozone) on my Black GTS-R's to cover the red. Looked really good, but took about 45 minutes and a steady hand to do just one wheel. With patience you could do all 4, I just didn't want to spend the time.
It was mentioned that the stripe matches the interior...I get that too with the Coral Leather. Perhaps that's why folks think they are factory...

Paining over clear coat is how 90% of automotive painting is done
Plus, wheels aren't usually clear coated with paint, but with powder, so it's slightly different, but can still be done with the right prep. |

It reallly loooks nice! I have my car in the same color (space gray) and I'm looking forward to having those rims on my car. However I was thinking to get them on 19 inches. As well as you know GTS-R 19" doesnt fit on series 1, does them?. There are another rims called BE by Breyton GTS-AV(Black Painted). Anyone has a picture of them on 135i space gray. It's a hard decision between Breyto 18 inches GTS-R and BE by Breyton 19 inches GTS-AV. What do you think? Should I pick the GTS-R?
I will be thanksful for your help |
