VMR V710 w/ Hankook pulls left while driving >= 40mph

Hi,

I got the VMR V710 and Hankook tire last month.

I noticed my car is pulling left while driving >= 40 mph.

I checked:

1) all tire pressure is good
2) when apply break, the steering wheel is still straight

I dont know what cause the car to pull left... any idea?

is it because the nature of the tire?

But I just got the car in Dec 10 and only 2000 miles on it...

What cause the car out of alignment?

I have no such problem with my stock wheel/RFT

Very possible that your car needs an alignment. I got one at like 800 miles, the right was off by like 3 degrees or something o_O

Do you have to pay for it?

I'm a bit skeptical about BMW paying for alignment when you install aftermarket wheels and tires

I seriously doubt they will pay for it. They were going to charge me like $150 or something for an alignment at my dealership. No thank you.

I swapped out my rft and stock wheels for 710's and Hancook Evos and the car tracked straight as can be..

You prodbably hit something or just need an alignment

Better than the $350 my dealership wanted.

Potholes are usually the cause of the alignment going bad OP. Even if you don't hit any big ones, it can be off. If you hit potholes regularly, no matter how small, your alignment can go off and just get worse day after day. Most of the time it really isn't that noticeable though. BMWs are also known for coming out of the factory with shit alignments from time to time.

Before you get an alignment though; are you sure it's not road crown that's making your vehicle turn to a certain side?

Definitely +100 to everyone above. Seems like your alignment is out.

I went to a tire shop and the guy told me it's my right front tire making the left pull.

So no alignment needed.

Got to live with it....

And my right rear wheel is scratched which I didn't hit the curb...

I have no idea how it's there.

The only way a properly inflated normal tire might cause a pull is if it's on backwards, or maybe if you somehow have 1 tire that's not the same size as the other.

Factory alignment sucks.

My rear cambers were -2 left side +1 right side. My advice is to go to a firestone and pay for lifetime alignment. They'll do custom settings so I go in before and after autox's, no charge after the initial payment.

I hate Hankook tires! You may experience balance issues at higher speeds and a partial or serious radial pull. They're also crazy loud. Never again, I'll stick to Pirelli's.
