The danger of driving a hot car
I've noticed since I got my E90 that other drivers take a long time to pass me, staying on my flank (AKA blind spot) way too long. Granted, some people do this anyway and are just stupid, but I have a theory. I think they're getting a close up view from the rear 3/4 perspective and are busy checking out the car.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Makes me paranoid and I have to double check the mirrors and do a side check often.

Lol, that's happens to me all the time in my TSX,
I guess because it has the OEM kit and optional wheels, they keep hanging on my side looking at the car, wanting to race or something, I dunno, maybe they're looking at me lol, that's why I have 28% tint, So I can just shut the windows when people bother me.

Maybe you have something hanging out one of your doors, like those ladies that always have part of theit skirt hanging out. I always think that's so funny. I can't imagine how pissed they get when they arrive at their destination and their little corner of skirt is all dirty and wet.
Or maybe the 3 series is just too damn nice for them to pass without taking a long glance. ...Take your pick.

There are a lot of BMW's around here! I dont think most people even care or notice. I guess a lot less in your neck of the woods.

I only flank cars for one of 2 reasons: hot chick driver or hot car.
If its both, thats a bonus!!!

I've had my car for only a couple days,
and so far all I've had bother me was a new mustang, I couldn't see what model it was, but it's funny they were trying to race me, more so than trying to drive next to me. I guess the 330i attracts a different sort of attention than the TSX, because it isn't so damn slow.

i soooooooooooo miss NJ traffic being here in Orlando, you really miss the finer things from NJ drivers... speeding, cutting off, flipping off, yelling, honking, etc etc.. I bring my NJ driving practices here to FL, and ppl are giving me a wtf look or just sit in the lane :P |

Yes, people do it here - this morning on the way to work in fact. I was trying to get over (parked semi in my lane) and the idiot in the Buick just rode on my right in the blind spot. Maybe trying to read the "E90Post" sticker?? LOL...
