DCT rumours for 1series surface again

It will undoubtably be an option, the question is WHEN. It will debute in NA on the new M3, I'm sure by summer it will be an option on many BMW's.

Just going from memory on how BMW relases other tech.

I hope nobody got their hopes up for DCT in the 1er.

The info on the new 1 section of the BMWUSA website has the auto transmission option listed as STEPTRONIC... The three modes they speak of are: Auto, Sport and Manumatic.

Anyway, I knew there was no way in hell they'd have a dual clutch in any other car than the M3 for now. Look for DCT in the next generation 1.
