3rd time still not the charm.

So my story begins two months ago when I bought my 09 135i 6mt. When I first went to the dealer I test drove the car it felt great I signed the papers the car was mine. When the saleswomen was showing me the features and how to use everything on the car I noticed an engine stumble. The woman told me they would take care of it next week when I brought it back for detail. I had no problem with it because it only happend when it was cold there was no check engine light. The next week comes they change a coil and detail the car I drove it home. The next morning I start it up and there it is a cold engine stumble. I call a local dealer and make an appointment they can't get me in for a few weeks. When I bring the car there they hold the car for a week, they change a coil and an injectior. I get the car back the next day it's still there. My friend that I work with use to work at a BMW dealership and recommend there services. I take the car there they take it for a week they clean the valves,change the injectors, coils, and plugs. When I start it up at the dealer with the service writer there, there it is the miss. So with the car misfiring the service writer tell me to take it drive it for a day and see if it clears up. I take it knowing it's not fixed but still glad I had the car I missed the boost. So the two days later no one will return my call. I called the dealer that just fixed it and the dealer I bought it from. Everyone is ignoring me. I might loose my mind. So it's 3 times my car is bone stock and its cpo. I bought the car I new jersey. I live in NYC. I might try to get a lemon law lawyer if no one works something out for me. Has anyone had the same experience? Or something similar. Thank you all for reading.

Wow! sorry to hear about your troubles with the dealers. I would escalate this and contact BMW NA before you get a lawyer, but you may want to hint to them that will be your next course of action if they do nothing. GL.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to try to get out of this thing and get a new one. I thought I would save some money and get a used one. I thought a cpo would be the way to go. I guess I was wrong.

I get the sense some 1ers are just bad luck...it either seems like people have few issues, or significant issues, i agree with ken, be polite but firm; it sure sounds like you were sold a dog of a car. Generally speaking cpo vehicles will be in good shape, but your situation is a mess. GL resolving it, dont give up on 1s, find the right one and theyre phenominal.

Im not going to give up on the 1er but in giving up on this particular 1. Mt laurel still hasnt called back i called them again. They still send me to voice mail, i keep leaving messages. But the last dealer to work on my car has called me back they are going to help me. Im going to try to get a new 1.
