Tire Rack close-out on Pilot Super Sports

My original PS2s (rear) were down past the wear bars. When I looked for them on Tire Rack it was going to cost $810 to replace them, but for $1,088 I could get a full set of Pilot Super Sports, because Tire Rack is closing out the rears. No-brainer; got them installed today.

Anyone in the market for the PS2s that came off the front? They still have about 1/2 of the tread left.

Where are you located? I would buy them if shipping won't be excessive.

I'm in Kansas City. Shipping was $66.24.

As for the question about rubbing, sorry I was not clear - I didn't do square corners, but went with stock sizes on front.

Word on the street lately is that the PSS even in the stock front 245 size are rubbing on the fender liners. Several people complained that it is because the PSS is a more square shaped tire than the PS2's "streched" profile.

Can you confirm?

Thanks
Robert

Ian, with the "old" fender liners, they do rub on 100% stock car but really unnoticeable, happens only parking speeds and only way to notice is to go check the liners to see the area tire touches. More visible at the right than left on my car. Should be completely fixed with cars equipped with new liners, even for 255/35 tires.

I read this after putting nearly 500 miles on my 1M this past weekend. Although I noticed no rubbing while driving (and I was on some pretty curvy roads), after reading this I went out to the garage and confirmed that there is some very slight rubbing when the wheels are turned to full lock position. It doesn't seem very significant, though.

Oh, and by the way, the PSSs have significantly more grip than the PS2s. Even though the latter were well on their way to slick when replaced, I still remember that when they were new the traction control light flickered much more on hard acceleration.
