I can't seem to find this thread, so why not start it with my new car! I have loads more pics from my trip this past weekend, but they need to be downloaded from my Nikon first.

Not so fast! I never knew you had started one and always felt bad none existed. I'll have to put together some of my favorites that are strewn about on other threads and make an official post later.

But, for the record, everyone who is blessed with mineral grey feels and is special. =)

Looks great! Can't wait for the return of warmer weather and the sight of a freshly washed 135is sitting on a drying driveway... and to get the 313s back on the car! I love seeing all that tire so far outboard and aft at the rear corners... that characteristic alone says a lot about our cars' personality.

I'm having one hell of a time for the last couple of weeks trying to keep my car from perpetual encasement in a layer of salt. At 4300 miles I finally gave in and brought it to the best carwash in the area. It was a horrible feeling being pushed through that tunnel of dangling cloth strips and recycled water... and the result isn't even decent. I need to find a better way. I may need to run it through the carwash to knock the big chunks off, and get rid of most of the salt and dirt, then set up my garage with lights and a heater to do some sort of rinseless wash followed by normal detailing. Just curious to hear how others keep their cars clean when the temps are perpetually in the 20s.

I just sprayed mine down the other day. Got a lot of the salt off but still have some on the lower parts. No carwash brush will touch the paint, ever.

You are braver then me, I wouldn't be able to use the car wash. I just cant do it.

I have a electric space heater in my garage to keep the water hose from freezing. I set the thermostat at the lowest setting, keeps the garage a toasty 40 degrees when outside in 20 degrees. As eccentric my wife thinks I am. I get to rinse the beast or hand wash whenever I please.

I want this set up when I purchase my first house. I want to power wash the salt off my car after every drive in the water, and then bring it into the garage for an ONR wash!

My Mineral Grey Brute

Since Beast is taken, I'll go with brute for mine. =P Here are a few of my favorites taken last month after detailing her, 10 minutes before it started raining, and a few random ones taken as well, albeit mostly taken on my crappy cell phone when out and about and finding myself moved by the beauty of the car. She's a great muse.

Are most of the mineral grey on 135is instead of 135i? No one has posted in here for nearly three years.

Pretty sure Mineral Grey was a new color for 2012, so not many 1's in mineral to begin with. Probably just that it's the prettiest on a 135is and 135is owners are typically the greatest owners ever and perhaps more enthusiastic and thus post more of them, or used to many years ago.

Wonder if there's even a bluewater metallic thread and how active that is.

My pics are way outdated since they were before I had the performance suspension installed, so weird to see how much bigger that fender gap is looking back visually. Dramatic difference for 10 mm.

Very nice. MG really suits the 1er. The 313s are the finishing touch.
